with Lion Norm Harrison, a music educator with the West Perry School District, when he approached a group of locals with the idea to produce a play. The resulting show was Send Me No Flowers, presented in 1971 at the then-middle school in New Bloomfield. This initial venture sparked an annual tradition of spring performances of Broadway plays and musicals, with occasional second productions at a different time of year. LCT’s productions have offered a stage to talented local performers and musicians, to the delight of many audiences through the years. LCT has thrived because of the ongoing interest of new generations of performers. Younger aspiring actors benefit from the mentoring and example provided by veteran performers.
